Pre-Prom Prep from Mary

Hey everyone!

I know it's been a little while since I last updated. Sorry about that...I've been so busy with my senior service project and everything I just haven't had time to sit down and relax!

Anyways now that prom is down to the wire, there are a few things that need to be done. If you plan on getting your hair done, I suggest making an appointment! You cannot expect to walk into a hair salon the day of prom and get some spectacular hairdo. Whether you go get our hair done or do it yourself, it's always a good idea to have some picture of the style you want -- if you or your hair dresser gets stuck in the middle, one of you can refer to the pic.

If you plan on getting your nails done for prom, here's a tip! Get them done a day or two before prom if you can! That way you're not stressing about smudging the polish or anything like that. If you don't want to get a mani, then it's perfectly fine to get those cheap-ie ones from CVS. That's what I'm doing this year and its saving me so much money! I love it, and the nails look great!!

One last thing that might be stressful is make-up. It's always hard to know if you have too much, too little, or just enough on. For proms and such formal events usually people like to buy new make-up. I have to disagree with this. Allergic reactions or hives the day or even hour before prom are anything BUT attractive. Haha. So, it's always best to stick with what you know. If you have been using the same mascara for the past three years, and haven't had a problem, then why switch brands now?

If you guys have any questions about how to apply some make-up, to create different styles, to match your make-up with your dress or anything else leave it below!

xo, mary
