Vladimir Tod is dealing with regular high school hiccups -- best friend drama, some frenemies and a love interest. Seems normal enough, right? Wrong. 10th grader Vlad has problems you couldn't even fathom. As half vampire and half human, Vlad is dealing with some killer issues. He's relied on his best friend Henry who served as his drudge, his aunt (who raised him) and his uncle Otis to help him cope with his vampire issues since his parent's death. An evil vamp, D'Ablo is after him for his powers and his uncle Otis and Vlad are no longer connected telepathically like they were before. With their link broken, Vlad's feeling helpless and lost when he needs guidance the most.
