Getting ready for prom is either every girl's dream or, in my case, worst nightmare. Having naturally curly hair, it's difficult to find a stylist that knows what she's doing. Tragically, I decided to do my own hair, and let a stylist just pin it up. I had a perfect vision in my head, but as the lady started working with my curls, my beautiful prom 'do disappeared. She grabbed a comb and faster than I could say "NO! DON'T! STEP AWAY FROM THE HAIR" she brushed out my curls. Note: It's never a good idea to comb out curls unless you're going for Mariah Carey's Fantasy album cover. I ran home and washed my hair again super fast, pinning it back myself. If you're worried about stylists ruining your vision, go DIY, girls. Trust me.
