My Obsession: American Teen Soundtrack
I just realized that all of my fave movies (Almost Famous, Juno, etc.) have exceptionally awesome soundtracks. Coincidence? I think not. So I wasn't surprised when my theory extended itself to American Teen, which is undoubtedly one of the best flicks this summer. Not only does the soundtrack feature tunes from some of the hottest new bands on the scene right now, including The Ting Tings, Black Kids, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, and MGMT, but it's also got old classics and killer unreleased tracks. Even more amazing? The tunes were grabbed straight from the iPods of the movie's stars. Sorry -- songs by Jake and the Warsaw Community High School marching band not included.
