Describe your job:
Job descriptions vary from project to project. My writing partner and I wrote for MTV's Rob & Big, and that experience was much like writing for an improv show -- brainstorming hundreds of scenarios, story ideas, etc. Writing a movie for SCI FI Channel was more straightforward: develop the idea with executives, adhere to their notes, and finish a script.

Best and worst parts of the job?
As a comedy writer, the best is making people LOL. Unemployment is the worst part. Writing gigs don't last forever, so you're always on the prowl for the next job.

Any advice on how to get into screenwriting?
Watch anything and everything on the small and big screen with an analytical eye. And, of course, write, write, write.
