Previously on Gossip Girl…

Last week, we saw Dan go from sizzlin' hot to freezin' cold with Serena after he heard about her history with Blair's BF, Nate. But no matter what Serena does, Dan continues to ice her out. To him, Serena's hooking up with Nate means that she's part of the elitist rich girl world that he loathes (mostly, we think, because he's not in it). Making matters worse is that it's Ivy Week, and tensions are on high. Dan keeps going with his overly judgmental 'tude. That is, until Blair maliciously announces that Serena's being treated for drug addiction in front of their entire grade, their parents, and a bunch of Ivy League college reps. (Totally untrue, BTW.) So Dan asks his sister Jenny about it, and she tells him that Serena only "admitted" that's she's in rehab to protect the secret about her brother's attempted suicide. (If that's not family loyalty, we don't know what is!) It's only after realizing that Serena isn't as one-dimensional as he though that he re-opens himself up to her -- and stops being a little beeyatch.
