Elyse Says…

Well done, Lauren. Nothing is worse than being completely blindsided by unexpected news, especially when it comes from an ex. But Lauren handles it pretty much like a pro on The Hills. (That’s what years of being on reality TV will do for you!) She removes herself from the situation and doesn’t freak out. She’s honest with Jason about how she feels about his engagement, but doesn’t say too much or get overly emotional. Sometimes less is more. Instead of feeling sorry for herself, Lauren realizes that even though she’s hurt seeing Jason move on with someone new, she's better off with out him. (Secretly, we would have loved to see her smack Jason and mutter something other than "Congrats" to Katja, but we applaud Lauren for keeping it together!)
