Myth: Life is nothing but a party.
Truth: While we can't deny that some sorority girls like to party, it's not a requirement. And anyway, how is that different from other college kids? Sure, sororities hold formals (think Prom), date parties, and socials with other Greek life chapters, but life in a sorority is a whole lot more than just fun and parties. Sororities do a ton of service to benefit their community. Each sorority has their own philanthropy, or charity that they individually help. For example, Alpha Chi Omega's philanthropy nationwide is The Fight Against Domestic Violence, while the sisters of Phi Sigma Sigma support the National Kidney Fund.
