Beyoncé
She the most bootylicious woman in music today, but that's not why we're saluting Beyoncé Knowles. Besides being the lead singer of the biggest selling female group of all time, Beyoncé became the first African-American woman (and the second woman ever) to win the ASCAP Pop Music Songwriter of the Year award in 2001. She's won Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, World Music Awards, and an NAACP Image Award, as well as scored a nomination for a Best Actress Golden Globe for her role in Dreamgirls. Add in the fact that B's only 25, and it's undeniable that Beyoncé will continue to break down boundaries for a long time to come.
