We all know that Oprah's one awesome (and busy) woman -- she hosts the highest rated talk show in television history, has won tons of Emmys, and publishes a magazine. Did you know she's also an Oscar-nominated actress? Yup, O's all those things. But she's a revolutionary. The first African-American woman to host a television show, Oprah's ranked as the richest African-American of the 20th century and the most philanthropic African-American of all time. And last, but certainly not least, she was the first African-American woman to reach billionaire status. And despite all of her accomplishments, she's not at all arrogant about her successes. "I was raised to believe that excellence is the best deterrent to racism or sexism. And that's how I operate my life," she's said. If Oprah isn't groundbreaking, we have no clue what is.
