Who: Tim Leong, 25.

What: ComicFoundry.com, a networking site for comic peeps, and an online mag with comic-related news.

Why: "ComicFoundry was a way to combine my passions for comic books and magazines," says Tim, who works full-time as a deputy art director at Complex magazine. "Any time your work is about one of your passions, it stops feeling like work."

How: "To help pay for some of the costs, I cashed in some mutual funds I've had since I was a kid. A lot of my job is e-mailing and networking, trying to get interviews and help from people," Tim says. Oh, and BTW, he recommends that when pitching to people, you always end your e-mails with "What do you think?" instead of "Sincerely." Who-da thunk?
