Ciara
Her new album, Ciara: The Evolution, doesn't drop until December, but Ciara's been keeping busy. Since participating in Michael Jackson's much-anticipated (and yet to be released) charity single, "I Have This Dream" (proceeds will benefit Hurricane Katrina victims), she's been making the rounds at New York public high schools, talking to teen girls. What about? Grrrl power, that's what (would you expect anything less from the Queen of Crunk?).
Last month, Ciara took time out to speak to students at The Young Women's Leadership School of East Harlem. And during the summer, on National Day To Prevent Teen Pregnancy, she spoke to teen girls at Manhattan Center High School about the importance of safe sex. Of her interest in helping others, Ciara told The Montgomery Advertiser, "I definitely feel blessed. There are a lot of young girls out there, and I write songs for them."
