Job How-To
Slide 2 of 7

The Basics

Use Facebook: Yes -- you read that right! "Being very active online through social media is going to be a great way to network and meet people that might open the door for you." Just don't post anything you wouldn't want a potential employer to see. (That means last weekend's party pics!)
Start Small: An employer isn't going to expect you to have years of experience if you're just coming out of college. And that's OK! But even without that experience, Ryan says, "Show them how you're going to make an impact on their company in the long-term." Apply Even if You're Under Experienced: Even if a job requires 3+ years of experience, send in an app even if you only have, say, 1-2. "You may not have the years of marketing experience, but maybe you were part of the marketing club at your school and a marketing major. You can leverage the experiences that you do have and play them to your advantage."
