My Most Frenzied Moment

Very rarely does a singer/songwriter like Alison Sudol come along. Her lyrics are poetic, her voice is haunting, and her music is utterly moving and emotive. People are calling this gorgeous and talented redhead the next Tori Amos, and we totally agree. If you like Fiona Apple, Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Coldplay, and Keane, then you'll love Allison's band, A Fine Frenzy! We asked Allison about her most "frenzied" moment, and this is what she had to say:

"I was on tour with Pete Yorn and Aqualung, and our last date with them was at the Ogden Theater in Denver. The theater was absolutely gorgeous -- huge and packed. Up until that point, I had primarily been doing shows in my living room for two to maybe eight people, sometimes only for my dog. The Ogden held nearly 2,000 (people, not dogs obviously). After the first song, I looked out into the audience and said, "Well, hello Denver!" and the crowd went mad, cheering, whistling, clapping and making a fantastic amount of noise and energy. Oh, what a fine frenzy that was! I can't help but smile whenever I think of it."
