Sound Off: Is It OK To Break Up With Your BF in a Text Message?

Britney Spears did it to Kevin Federline. No, we're not talking about anything dirty -- we're talking about breaking up with your BF (or hubby, in Brit's case) in a text message. While it's not a common practice (thank goodness), it's two time more likely that you would text your boy buh-bye than vice versa.

Surprised? Well, it's true, according to UK's The Sun newspaper. A recent survey, performed by a directory service, shows that 5 percent of girls have used text to make their BF an ex, compared with 2 percent of guys. Maybe it's because 90 percent of women say they send text messages regularly, while only 70 percent of men let their thumbs talk for them. Also, while two in 10 women say they "could not live" without text messaging, less than 1 percent of men have the same texting addiction.

Is it girls' dependence on texts that makes them do their dirty work that way, or is it something else behind this unexpected statistic? We're not sure. Either way, we're totally anti this immature practice!
