What should you be munching on before and after you sit down to study? Here's a little food for thought!

DINNER
As much as you'd love to drop your bags and book it right to your room to hit the net when you arrive home from school, it's a much better idea to sit down and have a well-balanced dinner with the fam. (Stop rolling your eyes, we're serious!) Your body may be going into chill mode, but if you plan on getting your homework done right, you can't let your brain rest just yet. Vitamin B6 helps your brain function at it's fullest potential, and Vitamin E protects the cells in your body. (Which means it helps your eyes stay strong so you can read without getting a headaches!) As you can see, Vitamin B and all it's little nutrients are essential in keeping your head in the books. So, for din-din be sure to get a healthy portion of meat because all meat is filled with Vitamin B6. But, don't neglect the other food groups -- remember balance if everything!
We Recommend:
- Steak or a veggie burger.
- Pasta.(Carbs = instant energy!)
- Dark green veggies.
- 2-3 glasses of water.
- A piece of fruity pie for dessert!
(You may be tempted to have cookies or cakes, but too much sugar can make you feel energized for a short while then cause you to crash and get very tired!)
