What should you be munching on before and after you sit down to study? Here's a little food for thought!

LUNCH
As annoying as it may be to still have Mom sneaking sandwiches and snacks in your backpack before school, it's actually a really good idea. (No, we're not kidding!) If you don't have a healthy lunch plan, you'll wind up eating whatever junk comes your way -- especially if you're busy studying or rushing to meet up with friends. The school cafe doesn't always offer the most appetizing meals, but that doesn't mean you should skip lunch. That's a bad idea. By lunchtime your body has broken down most of your breakfast, so it needs to refuel if you're going to get through the rest of your day. Afraid you'll eat too much and start nodding off during your afternoon classes? Don't worry. That's where Niacin (also called vitamin B3) comes in. Niacin helps to break down your food quickly and turn it into mental and physical energy.
We Recommend:
- PBJs
- Grilled Chicken or fish. (Avoid red meat for lunch, it tends to weigh you down.)
- Fruit
- Salad. (Anything green is packed with brain-friendly vitamins!)
- 2-3 glasses of water.
