"My BFF turned into a jerk before graduation."

"Graduation is coming up and I should be sad about it, but honestly, I can't wait to leave my supposed best friend behind. Ever since finals she's acted like a total beast. Not calling me back, ditching me during prom, and spending all her time with this other girl from our class who we don't even like! What is the deal?"

We Say:
It might not seem like it, but your BFF is actually really upset about leaving your side next year -- that's why she's putting so much distance between the two of you now. She thinks that if she can cut you out of her everyday now, she won't be as lost come September. Granted it's a cowardly lion move, but at least now you know where she's coming from.

Even though you're just about to write her off, we think you should realize that your BFF loves you and is just super sad to part ways. Find one of your favorite photos of the two of you, frame it up, and write her a nice note. Remind her that no matter how far away you are in miles, you'll always be there for her. Aww. You two should be connected at the hip again in no time. P.S. -- Don't let her off the hook without a heap-load of apologizing! Not cool to leave your BFF hanging at prom ever -- no matter what the reason.
