"I have a prom problem. I'm a junior, and this guy that I've been hanging out with for a couple of months is a senior. He hasn't asked me to prom yet, and time is running out! We're not officially dating because we're sort of friends with benefits right now, but I thought he would take me for sure. One of his girl friends doesn't have a date yet either, and I'm nervous she'll get picked. What should I do?"

We Say:
OK, say it's your senior prom and you have the choice to bring your best guy friend or some random guy you've been hooking up with. Who would you take? Right. Unfortunately, we're pretty sure you're out of luck on the prom front. Since you're not his girlfriend, he'll probably pick a good friend he's known his whole life. If you're feeling gutsy, you could ask him casually who he's taking, but just prepare yourself for a name that's not yours when he answers. Don't freak out if he chooses his BGF -- remember it's his senior prom, after all.
