"My little brother gets all the attention!"
You Said:
"My little brother is constantly in trouble – getting grounded, suspended, you name it. Guess who's the total opposite? Yeah, me. I get good grades, have nice friends, and my parents trust me 100 percent. Problem is, they pay zero attention to me. I could come home with the Nobel Prize and no one would blink an eye. Why can't they realize they are lucky to have at least one normal, good kid?"
We Say:
Your parents are so wrapped up in your little brother, because he's a complete mess and needs their constant watching. But, that's no excuse for ignoring how easy they have it with you. It's not like they don't count their lucky stars to have one totally together girl, they just can't seem to get your brother to follow your lead.
Our advice? Tell your parents you're feeling a little out of the family loop, and you need some feedback, too. By giving you the props you deserve, maybe your brother will realize that getting in trouble is not the only way to keep your 'rents interested.
And P.S. -- spend some quality time with your brother. He definitely needs some help getting it together, and you're just the older sister to do it.
