The Boy Next Door
Monday, September 25, 2006
Well, folks -- looks like I'm up at bat with this editorial blog. I'm not a writer, unlike the other ladies that you have read about here. I'm actually Alloy's photo editor, and I must say that I have it pretty good here. I get to come to work every morning, Starbucks Pumpkin Spice latte in hand (damn, I love the fall), and do something I love while sitting beside people I love. We're pretty close here at Alloy. Nothing but laughs and good gossip at the office -- but that's not the only perk. I get to do some pretty amazing things and meet some incredible people. Things keep changing here and in my life in general. It's not a bad thing, so I'm trying to embrace it with open arms, all the while trying not to spill my latte all over my keyboard. (It happens everyday without fail!)
I recently took a big girl step -- I moved into a lovely apartment with my boyfriend, Chris. Chris and I have been together for four years. I met him when I was a junior in college (body piercings, dyed hair, and bad girl attitude included). Chris was living in the dorm room next to mine, so you can imagine how excited I was when I discovered the cute Greek boy in room 709 was single. Soon after school started, we began dating and have been together since our first kiss, four years ago. (For the record, girls -- I made the first move and kissed him.) That's your cue to say "awwww!"
