"I stole my friend's diamond bracelet!"

My friend got this gift from her boyfriend (who was my ex) -- I said I didn't mind them being together, but come on, girls don't really mean that when they say it. So she was showing it off to everyone -- especially to me. So one day when she and I were getting ready to go out, the bracelet was sitting there and it caught my eye. I can't exactly explain the sudden burst of adrenaline, jealousy, and temptation that came over me all at once, and of course, what can a girl do but "borrow" it just for a while. So I took it! Of course what I did was totally wrong, but she didn't notice it was gone until an hour later. I just acted like I normally would and told her that I couldn't have taken it because I was in the kitchen. I do have to admit -- I still have the bracelet hidden in my drawer next to my bed and what ruined my almost sweet revenge was that my ex boyfriend bought her a diamond necklace. And yes to be honest I was tempted.
