"She gave me the best going-away present!"

On the day of my school's big dance, my parents told me that we were gonna have to move the following week. Needless to say, I couldn't go to the dance because I had to pack. When I asked my BFF if she wanted to come over and hang out with me instead of going to the dance, she said no. I was a little hurt, but I didn't say anything to her. The following Monday at school, I found out that she had paid $50 to get a picture of her and all of my other friends together at the dance to give to me. She had also planned a going away party for me. I was so touched that she cared so much! To top it all off, she took me shopping the day before I left and bought me a new outfit so I'd look good on my first day at my new school. (When I tried to pay for it, she refused to let me.) What a sweetie!
