For Spring Fling, my friend said she really wanted me to go, and would get me a date with my crush. But, when she went to talk to him, he asked her out instead. Without thinking, she said yes. She said she felt really bad, and I told her I was cool with it if they went together. The night of the dance, my friend kept asking me if I would dance with her date, if she got him to dance with me. At first, I said no, because I didn't want to hurt her feelings. Later, we were in the bathroom, and she asked me again. Finally, I said yes, but that I didn't think he would want to dance with me. My friend got really excited, and explained how she didn't really like my crush, but just wanted to play matchmaker. When he asked her to the dance, she only agreed so that she could try to set me and him up! I don't know what she said to him, but a few minutes later my crush came and asked me to dance. We only danced together for two songs, but it made the whole night worthwhile. The rest of the night my friend danced with him, but I didn't even care. If it hadn't been for my friend, I wouldn't have danced with him at all! I couldn't believe she was helping me get with her date, she's such an awesome friend.
