"They threw me a surprise party, even though I went to a different school!"
I was dreading my 16th birthday because I wasn't going to see any of my friends. I had just transferred to a different high school that was far away from where all of my friends went to school. I made some new friends, but we weren't nearly as close as I had been with my other friends. A few weeks before my birthday, one of my BFFs from my old school invited me to her house during Thanksgiving break, about 10 days after my birthday. I hadn't seen her in a long time, so I was psyched! A few minutes later she called back and said that it turned out it was her new friend's birthday, so it was going to be a surprise party for her. I was dreading it because I had only met this girl once, and none of my other BFFs could go to the party. Still, I couldn't back out. The day of the party, I arrived at my friend's house and she ran out to greet me, saying that the other girl hadn't arrived yet. As we walked into her living room, all five of my BFFs jumped out! It turned out they planned to throw a double surprise party for me and the other girl! I was so happy that they cared that much, and we had so much fun at the party!
