"She remembered my birthday when no one did!"
When I met my BFF last year, we were friends right off the bat. My birthday was approaching, but I always get really sad whenever my b-day comes around because everyone either forgets it or they just don't acknowledge it -- even my parents and my sisters! (It's during a busy time of year.) On the night of my birthday, she invited me over to watch a movie. I thought it was just part of our Friday night ritual, but it turned out to be a lot more. When I rang the doorbell, nobody answered, so I called her cell phone and asked her where she was. She told me she was in the backyard by the pool. I walked around back and saw a GIGANTIC white tent with 50 people gathered under it. I saw all my friends and family, even my cousins came from California -- and we live in New England! Right when I saw them, they all screamed, "Surprise!" I was SO shocked. I wanted to know who arranged it all, so I asked my Dad who planned the party, and he said, "She's standing right over there." I followed the direction of his finger, and sure enough, it pointed directly at my BFF. (I don't even remember telling her when my birthday was, but I guess she found out from someone.) I ran up to her with tears of joy streaming down my face and tackled her in a huge bear hug. It was the best day of my life! My BFF is fantastic -- only a best friend would go through all that trouble. She is the greatest, and I love her so much!
