"She made me part of her family!"
My parents got divorced last year, and recently my dad started dating a new woman. I always get so angry when he goes out with her. (My parents only been divorced for one year -- why does he have to date already?) Whenever he goes out on Friday nights, I usually hang with my mom and try to distract her because I know it upsets her too. Last weekend, my mom went out of town on business, so I knew I'd be home alone during my dad's date. I really didn't want to be sitting at home thinking about it, and I told my BFF how sad I felt. She called me twenty minutes later and said her parents had invited me to come over for dinner. I knew she told them to do that since I was upset, but I didn't mind. I'd rather spend time with her normal family than my messed up one.
