"She ditched her date to help me study!"
I don't have many neighbors because my family lives on a private road, so I was pumped when I found out I had a new neighbor with five kids and that the oldest girl was my age. On the first day of school, I approached her at the bus stop, and we talked all the way to school. She and I had the same social studies class and lunch period. Not too long after, we became inseparable. She had been chasing this guy for a month, and he finally asked her out. But when I called her saying I really needed help studying for my final the next day, she didn't even hesitate to rush over and help me, even though I said she could go on the date! We haven't known each other for long, but she was willing to sacrifice a date with her crush when she found out I needed a study session. What a friend! We both got A's on the final, and her crush rescheduled their date for the next night!
