"They gave me a special surprise on my birthday!"

Luckily, when I switched schools last year, I didn't have a very hard time making new friends. Even though I really liked my new school, I still missed my old friends a lot -- I was so busy with schoolwork and my sports schedule that I could barely make time to see them. When my birthday rolled around, my new friends invited me to out to a special dinner. When I arrived at the restaurant, I saw all of my old friends there, too! My new friends got in touch with them and invited them to surprise me. Celebrating my birthday with all my closest friends was so special for me. I'm so thankful that my new friends are so thoughtful, and that my old friends are still by my side!
