"She took care of me when I was sick!"
I had a hard time adjusting when I started boarding school in ninth grade. I had never been away from home before, and I was so homesick that I barely tried making friends. The girl who lived next door to me always seemed pretty friendly, but I was too shy to approach her. Halfway into the fall semester, I woke up in the middle of the night feeling really sick. I knew that I had to go to the infirmary, but I was afraid to walk there by myself in the dark. I knocked on my next-door neighbor's door, and even though we barely knew each other, she took me to the infirmary. While I was sick, she checked in on me and took great care of me. Now, we're best friends -- it's great to know that I have somebody around who's there for me no matter what!
