"She made me feel like a winner"

I’m a competitive horseback rider and participate in a lot of important national shows. I brought along my BFF to a qualifying competition last summer that I had spent months preparing for. When it was my turn to race in a jumping course, I fell off my horse and was disqualified from the rest of the event. I was absolutely devastated about my DQ, but when we got home, my friend gave me a blue ribbon that she had made for me, and it said “You’re always number 1!” I couldn’t believe how thoughtful it was of her -- no matter what happens, I can always count on her to be there for me!
