"They gave me the best send-off I could have imagined!"
Instead of being read over the PA system, the announcements at my old middle school were broadcasted daily to the entire school on a morning news show. My friends and I loved volunteering to act as “anchors” on the show, and we often helped out in the studio. When I heard that I was moving two states away, I was devastated. I was extremely nervous to start over in a new school, but I was even more upset that I would be leaving my friends behind. On my last day of school, my two best friends were the morning newscasters. Once they had finished reading the daily announcements, a movie came on the screen -- my best friends had made a slideshow of pictures of me, set it to our favorite song, and aired it to the entire school! I know that no matter how many miles away they may be, my friends will always be right by my side!
