The sun excelled in warming any soul that walked The Grove today. The Grove, for those of you who don't know, is an amazing place for shopping, eating, and/or movie watching! I went for a girlie day at the spa. After having my nails done, I ran into a girl I'd met a while back online. She joined me as I ate at a Chinese place at the Farmer's Market.

After lunch, I met one of my favorite members of my management team for a coffee off Hollywood Blvd. She prepped me for my meeting with a writer/producer duo that might be working with me on my second record. At 6, the meeting was held. They fell in love with my new direction. It's so exciting to see others inspired by something I'm so passionate about!!

If any of you are familiar with the Carters, I encourage you to see Leslie's show tomorrow night, Wednesday August 9, 2006, at The Cat Club off Sunset. I believe that's what it's called. She goes on at 8:30pm.

I booked my flights today for Nashville. I will be working with several writers there for about a week. The following week, I'm booked up with Toby here in L.A. I'm also meeting with three or four other writer/producers here in L.A. before I leave.

I'm really looking forward to going back. Most of my friends start college this year, so it'll be great hanging out with them one more time before everyone takes that step into such change. I know we'll all stay friends, but the fact that we may not always be as close as we are now is a hard reality.

The first girl I ever met in Tennessee turns 18 on Saturday. We're definitely going out to celebrate. Although my week's purpose is to work, I will make as much time for those I haven't seen in a while as possible.
