Wow! When we get married (way, way, waaay down the road) we want to wear this tiered Giambattista Valli dress! It's absolutely beautiful. And it's made from corn-based biopolymer (PLA). An alternative to polyester made from petroleum, PLA is made from corn, a renewable resource. Vegetable starches are broken down into sugars, and the carbon and other elements in these natural sugars are then processed and spun to make material.
