"When you go from medium-dark blonde to light brown, that's only one to two shades," Chuck says. "It looks dramatic but isn't as dramatic as what Lindsay Lohan does to her hair."

"It's actually very easy to achieve Mischa's [red tones] because [even though] you're changing your hair one or two shades darker you're making the tone warmer with a red tone. It's easy because you're still at the same depth. What you do is pick one shade lighter than what you actually want and pick it in a warm shade." (Note: Warm shade as in "auburn" -- not "ash"!).
