Finding The Right Shade

The black 'brows with bleached-blond hair wasn't cool when Madonna did it back in the '80s. So why Rumer Willis chose to bring back this look, we have no clue! As far as we're concerned, only Marilyn Monroe could pull off this color combo.

Here's how to do it right: "Choose a color that first matches your natural 'brow color," says Tanya Miller, a Bobbi Brown 'brow expert. "Then take into consideration what the tone of [your head hair] is. For example, if you are ashy brunette, use an ashy brown color to fill your 'brows in. If you are a warmer brunette, use a color that is a warmer, redder brown to fill in your 'brows." And if you're blond? Celeb 'brow artist Damon Roberts suggests going two shades deeper (not a zillion shades deeper like Rumer did!).
