Nope, not time for lip gloss yet! Before you slather on the shine, you want a smooth, solid base. We're totally addicted to Burt's Beeswax Lip Balm ($2.49, drugstore.com). It has a yummy, peppermint taste, and -- most importantly -- a soothing, protective matte finish. Smooth this balm all over your lips, and don't worry if it blends a little with your lip liner. You can always touch up your liner if you need to, but a slight blending is actually good. (Your lips should be the main attraction, not your lip liner).
