But what was this turn of the century girl really like? In Coco Before Chanel, we get a glimpse into the youth of a destitute, orphaned girl who refuses to be anything other than herself. In a time when frills and corsets were the norm, Chanel dressed in boyish tweeds and started trends that would sweep the world. We got French costume designer Catherine Leterrier to share her beautiful sketches and the stories behind the amazing ensembles with us!
