Color Catastrophe

For the record, we are totes over the tights with shorts look (although, every time we say we're over something, some fab chick sends us a Style Child pic to prove us wrong). But even if we weren't, this crazy colored look with jolly green giant tights, navy and white striped top, brown jacket, red scarf, and a very non-neutral handbag is just so...NEVER! A simple removal of the tights and a switch to a grey or navy jacket would certainly make this look more palatable for our tastes. What would you do to fix this splattered mess?
