Yeah, mixing brown with black or dark gray isn't totally taboo anymore. But in this girl's case -- it is! The brown-and-black rule applies only when the clothes are dark -- and the accessories are brown (like a purse, belt, or tall boots). In other words? This chica's skirt has got to go! And so do those elfish brown boots. Blech! If you're gonna mix brown and gray, you gotta do it right -- and do it all the way. Otherwise, you'll just blend into the dirty pavement like this girl.
