Your designs were on another realm of creativity. Do you think the judges got it?
Fashion is subjective. I think fashion is not only a perception of beauty but a social commentary. Clothes must reflect the culture and modern context otherwise, designs become obsolete and disposable. I believe designs must inherit a statement and solicit a cause.
You initially wanted a jodhpur but then changed to a tighter pant ala Tim's suggestion. Do you regret that change?
What happened, happened. There are no feelings of happiness or remorse, wrong, bad, good...that's all too restricting.
Has Project Runway changed your opinion of the fashion world?
The fashion world can be intimidating and exclusive. So I think being on the show has helped me realize that shows like Project Runway can incite a certain level of accessibility and participation in a world that once was solely defined for and by the elite.
