Snuggly Sweater

I'm such a sucker for long sweaters with super-long sleeves! That's why I totally dig this hoodie sweater coat from Alloy ($36.50). I also love the versatile heather gray color -- that means I can wear it with my blue jeans and black jeans! In fact, I really wish I'd worn this sweater today (it's super cold outside). But instead of going for layers, and wearing a hoodie under my jacket, I just wore a short-sleeved sweater. Wrong choice. (Now I'm freezing my butt off!). What's the moral of the story? Stock up on cozy sweaters like this one, and don't forget to layer up!

The O.C. for Her

When I got The O.C. for Her eau de toilette spray in the mail, I thought it would be kinda gross. I mean, what was it gonna smell like -- a mix of the chlorine from a Newport Beach infinity pool, Marissa's flask, and Seth's sweat as he bobbles through another lie to Summer? But this perfume (select retailers, $12/.5 oz; $22.50/1.7 oz), released just in time for the show's season premiere on Thursday, actually smells pretty sweet. The fruity, floral aroma -- mandarin, exotic flowers, white amber, sweet vanilla, and clear musk -- is quite refreshing. And while it's a light scent, it's perfect to wear year-round. Hey, if you can't hang with Summer and the gang, at least you can smell like 'em!
