Okay, so maybe some girls look great without style, make-up, cool clothes, and hair products. But we're not one of 'em! Check what stuff we won't leave home without!

Super-sleek hair

I've come to the conclusion that there are only two basic hairstyles right now: Reeeally messy, or reeeally straight. Which kinda sucks for me, cuz my hair doesn't fall under either one of these categories! Around the age of 7, my tight curls seemingly transformed overnight into straight locks. But not Lucy Liu straight. More like wavy-straight. Which in the summer, translates into "frizzy." That's why I love Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Flat Out Finishing Spray, part of Herbal Essences new Dangerously Straight collection ($2.99, drugstores nationwide). It smells yummy, plus it's heat-safe (so you can use it with a blow dryer or flat iron)!

Locker Chic

In high school, I wasn't the prom queen or the student council president, but if there's one thing I will always be remembered for, it's having the most stylish locker in school. I changed the theme of my locker décor each semester and especially for holidays. Your locker doesn't just have to be a place to hang you coat and stash your dirty gym socks. It can be an extension of who you are, and a chance to express your personal style. Yup, If I could teleport back to the halls of Columbia High, I'd totally want this locker double pocket board ($9, www.pbteen.com) smiling back at me!

Creamy, Dreamy Make-up

Ready to make your old powder eye shadow go poof? Better prep your make-up bag, 'cuz cream eye shadows and blush are the must-have beauty items for fall. I fell in love with Maybelline's Dream Mouse Blush over the summer (can you say awesome faux tan effect times ten?), and now I can't wait to get my hands on their Color Delights Cream Shadow. These shimmery creamy dreams come in six different sets and are light-infused (translation: they'll make your peepers pop!). All the beauty experts are saying lavender is the color to score this season, so don't be afraid to test-drive their Twilight Glow.

Bubble Skirt

Living in New York City provides a bit of a problem when summer rolls around: You wanna wear mini skirts, but when cars zoom by, your skirt is liable to fly up. (Not to mention there's always the fear of pulling a Marilyn Monroe when you walk over a subway grate!) So when bubble skirts made their grand entrance this summer, I was super stoked! It's all a matter of physics (I know it's summer vacation, but bare with me): The extra material of the bubble weighs down the skirt, thereby limiting its ability to fly up. Hopefully, this trend won't burst any time soon!
