The truth is, when a guy's really into you, he'll use any excuse to touch you -- whether it's a bear-hug, pulling you in close for a quick squeeze, or playfully nudging you. So if you're initiating all the hugs and the two of you are constantly an arms-length away at all times? Kinda weird! He could just be super shy in public, but sometimes actions (including inaction) speak louder than words.
