But, didn't you guys date briefly?
We dated, but we didn't start as friends and then date. We started off getting to know each other, and then starting up right off the bat into it. It's easier to move from dating to just friends. If something happens, whatever, it's no big deal. You move on. You can be friends. But to be really good friends, for a really long period of time, and then get into a relationship and breakup, that's hard -- that's a lot tougher.
I have a lot of girls who are just solely friends of mine. I think it's great to have a girl that's just a friend, because she's a good wingman, you know?
So, you think dating a best girlfriend is generally a bad idea?
Bad idea. You definitely don't want to mix. When things get to an intimate level, a lot of things change. Jealousy becomes a factor, and all that stuff. If a girl is a really close friend to you, then you should keep it that way, 'cause getting into a relationship with somebody like that makes things more complicated. If you want to keep them as a close friend, after [you date them] it's never the same.
