Right before summer vacation, I decided to pursue my long time crush at school. We were in the same homeroom but I was sure that he didn't even know my name. One day in class, I worked up the nerve to ask him to hang out. He was really nice and agreed to meet me for lunch that weekend. The day of our lunch date, I went out and bought a new outfit to give me more confidence. When I got to the restaurant where we had agreed to meet, he wasn't there. I waited, hoping that maybe he was just running late but he never showed up. The next school day in asked him why he didn't come and he told me that he didn't want to ever been seen in public with me. I was so confused and upset. I never tried to talk to him again.
