I had a crush on this boy, Wayne, since sixth grade, and a month ago we finally started going out. We were together during Hurricane Katrina, which was crazy because we live in Mississippi. I was really nervous because my friend, Tom, who used to call me all the time, hadn't called in a while, and I thought he was dead. When we were able to go back to school, I saw Tom in the hall and hugged him. (I was so glad he was OK!) My BF must have seen us hug because suddenly his friends came up to me and said, "You know that thing with you and Wayne? Well, it's over!" I was so pissed -- not because he broke up with me, but because he couldn't tell me to my face.
