I've liked my brother's friend forever, but I never thought that he really liked me more than a friend. For my brother's birthday party, my family went ice-skating, and my crush came with us. I wanted to skate with him during the "couples only" part of the night, but I'd only been skating once, and I wasn't great at it. Before the "couples only" skate, my friend Britt was trying to teach me to skate better. On one of my falls, I felt someone helping me up, but I thought it was just Britt. To my surprise, it was my brother's friend! I thought that he was just being nice, but after he helped me up, he took my hand, and we started skating around the rink. It got dark and a slow song came on. I was getting ready to sit down on a bench during "couples only" skating, when he asked me if I would skate with him. After the song, he told me that he thought I was amazing and gave me a kiss. It was the perfect night!
