"He chose me over his ex!"
My BGF and I were both going through rocky breakups. He had just broken up with his GF of three years, and I had just broken up with my BF of two years. We started spending more and more time with each other. One day, while we were hanging out, he told me he loved me more than just a friend! I eventually told him I felt the same way, but I was weary of getting together because of our recent splits. Things were going as planned until the unthinkable happened: His ex-girlfriend came back begging for a second chance. When he told me about it, he cried and told me he was torn because he loved both of us. I told him to be with her, even though that's not what my heart wanted. A few days later, he came by my house, got down on one knee and said, “I couldn't possibly choose anyone over you.” It made the time we weren't together so worth it!
