"He gave me a 'test' to see if I was worth dating!"
My ex and I were on the phone on night, and he started talking really crappy to me and I finally asked him, "Why are you acting like this?" And he said, "Because before I can really go out with a girl, I have to see if she is worth it." I got so mad and said, "Oh! So I'm not worth it, huh?" And then he said he has to give me a test to see if I take everything he says seriously. So, I stupidly agreed, and he started saying all these horrible things to me. I was playing along for a while until he took it too far. I eventually hung up on him and started crying. He called me back, and I demanded to know why he wanted to hurt me. He said, "Oh, well I was about to tell you, 'Congratulations! You passed!' But since you said that…" My heart dropped, and he said he had to go and said bye without even saying "I love you" like he normally does. He called later to tell me that he sent me an e-mail. When I checked it, the e-mail said, "No, I don't love you, and I never loved you. And I was only using you to boost my self-esteem. You mean nothing to me. I am done with you."
